Summer Adventure
This is not just another summer camp; it is an experience of a lifetime. Being a year-round school allows our students to continue on their academic path, uninterrupted, while experiencing summer adventures and activities.
Being located in the Tampa Bay area puts us right in the middle of the best natural and man-made fun in the country. Our students go on trips to the zoo, aquariums, Busch Gardens, kayaking, water parks, pools and of course the beach, just to name a few. Our summer is packed with activities provided by the school and also extra trips that students can choose to go on for an extra fee.
Every summer we schedule two longer trips; one for older students and one for the younger grades. This year the older grades will go on a Tennessee Adventure. This is a week-long trip that includes white water rafting, mountain biking, caving and more, in the beautiful mountains of Tennessee. Also this year our younger students will be camping overnight in the picturesque Florida state park, Blue Springs.
All these trips are great fun but if you ask any Clearwater Academy student about summer, they will let you know that the best is COLOR WAR! This is a 3-day competition between the blue and white teams that are created by all the students and staff in the school. It is 3 days of outdoor games and indoor academic challenges, but the highlight is the song competition on the last day.
Anyone can join in our summer fun. Students that will only be here during the summer will be able to take advantage of our Academic Booster program designed specifically for our temporary students and join in on all our field trips, adventures and activities.
Summer Adventure 2020 starts on Monday, June 1st and runs through Friday, July 24th.
