An always-popular aspect of being a student at Clearwater Academy is its competitive youth sports program

In addition to football, basketball and volleyball the mighty Clearwater Academy Knights participate in flag football, soccer and cheerleading.

Sports is a big part of the Clearwater Academy experience and whether it’s volleyball, basketball or football, the Knights always make their presence felt on game day.

A highlight of the athletic program is our tackle football team which was launched in the fall of 2008. Playing a unique 7-man, full tackle format allows a terrific football experience for both students and the community. The Clearwater Academy Knights team captured the FCAPPS* Florida State Championship in 2009 and in 2012; completing both of those seasons undefeated.

In addition to football, basketball and volleyball the mighty Clearwater Academy Knights participate in flag football, soccer and cheerleading. Our campus is equipped to help these students prepare for game day with our playground covered in professional grade field turf. Young football players can practice their moves on the very same turf used in the NFL.

Students also participate in non-team athletics such as rock climbing. Our campus is proud to be the home of one of the highest rock climbing walls in the Tampa Bay area.

Not to be left out of the sports fun, elementary students also participate in our sports program. Daily Physical Education classes are run for all grades and include enhancing physical fitness with fun and innovative games. Our interscholastic competitive sports program starts as young as the 4th grade with basketball, soccer, flag football and tackle football.

The basic skills needed to be a skillful athlete and generous sportsman are practiced daily at Clearwater Academy. In conjunction with our Goals Oriented approach to education, the Clearwater Academy sports program helps Clearwater Academy International maintain its status as one of the most fun and active schools in Tampa Bay.
