International Student Success

My experience here was different from any other experiences that I had.I met amazing people, I learned a lot of things for myself and I definitely improved my English. I had a lot of fun with the cheer team, and I’m so proud of being part of it. I feel so sad if I think that I’m leaving on Monday.

I can’t wait to come back next year and stay here longer. I think that this experience made me grow and made me a better person. I really hope I brought something special to this school and the people I met. I’ll never forget this experience, I’ll never forget CAI.

Our Kindergarten Teachers

On August 13 of 1786 Thomas Jefferson wrote this to George Wythe:

‘I  think by far the most important bill in our whole code is that for the diffusion of knowledge among the people. No other sure foundation can be devised, for the preservation of freedom and happiness. . . Preach, my dear Sir, a crusade against ignorance; establish & improve the law for educating the common people. Let our countrymen know that the people alone can protect us against these evils (tyranny, oppression, etc.) and that the tax which will be paid for this purpose is not more than the thousandth part of what will be paid to kings, priests and nobles who will rise up among us if we leave the people in ignorance.’

This is exactly what you have done. You have laid the foundation of Happiness and Freedom for my daughter and so many other kids before and for that I am endlessly thankful to the both of you.

I am so grateful for the work you guys do each and every day. Every morning my daughter work up excited to go to school and always striving to do better. Not one day went by where had to worry about my child because I knew that you guys had it handled. The thing I am most thankful for is that you guys are like family and I really appreciate the love you shared with [my daughter] each and every day.

You guys are absolutely incredible beings-thank you for all that you did for my daughter and all you will accomplish going forward.

CERT-trained Students Attend World Rescue Event

Clearwater Academy is busy preparing a team of select current and former students who are Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)-trained, to participate in the upcoming World Rescue Challenge.  The event, which focuses on preparing today’s emergency response rescuers for tomorrow’s challenges, is being held for the first time in the United States from October 27–November 2 in Clearwater, Florida.

The World Rescue Challenge sees up to 30 international teams each year, and the goal is to raise awareness of the global epidemic of vehicular death and injury.  All participants in the event are required to be Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)-trained.  CERT is a program which trains citizens in preparation for and responding to emergencies that may arise in their community, and includes instruction on topics such as fire suppression, first aid, search and rescue, and team organization.  CAI’s CERT-trained teenagers will play an active role in the World Rescue Event’s “Trauma Challenge,” which consists of the following:

●         Two-person teams will respond to staged accidents.

●         Each team will direct “innocent bystanders” as witnesses to help.

●         There are 20 different scenarios each day for three days; each scenario lasts for 10 minutes.

“CERT training helps our students become better citizens, and prepares them to be better leaders as adults, by teaching them to serve,” said Jim Zwers, CAI Executive Director.  “At CAI, we require our students to participate in community service projects, and we encourage them to always take an active stance in helping others.”

The World Rescue Challenge will be in Clearwater the week of October 28th, watch for updates on our students.

International Parent Success

It was just so great to experience your school this summer.
My son loved the classes and teachers, and his friends.
He said that he could stay for another 3 years !!!

He became more open, more cheerful, and healthier.
As a mother, and as a educator, I can say that your school is one
of the best schools in the world!!!

We need to make one in Japan, too!

We’ll come back soon.

Spring Musical a Success!

The Clearwater Academy Performing Arts Department showcased their talents in the Spring Musical  – Little Shop of Horrors. With a talented cast ranging from 4th grade and up, the students delivered a dynamic and entertaining theater experience. The music and acting were wonderful and they kept the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the performance.

This also marked the debut of CAI’s new stage, sound and light system. After fundraising last year for these upgrades it was a delight to see all the money raised being used to successfully enhance our Performing Arts Department.

Well done Mona Lim, Performing Arts Director and to all the staff and students who contributed to the show.

The Most Amazing School

Clearwater Academy is the most amazing school I have ever seen. Kids are the happiest I have seen at a school. The teachers are the nicest. The executives are the nicest, yet effective that I have ever seen.

A true island of sanity. I am so proud my son is a student here.

I Have Loved Being a Part of This School

The study program at this school is like no other. I got from a point of not wanting to even look at math,  to being able to do it on my own accord. I have always loved history and I have been able to learn more about history in an easy and fun way.

The day I came to Clearwater Academy I instantly felt like it was the school I wanted to be at. It had a friendly and easy atmosphere and more importantly, it had a football team. I thought studying here would be hard and really boring. I’m so glad I was wrong about that. The studying here was easy, help was available all the time, especially on my tougher subjects, making it easy to learn and making it go faster.

I have loved being a part of this school and will always contribute and continue to try and help wherever I can, whether it is with Performing Arts, football or even just helping out in one of the classes.

An Extraordinary Group

I came from Switzerland and got into this school because of my friend, which I want to thank. What this school gave me is not what I expected. Indeed, it’s way more than what I expected!

I improved my ability to communicate in English like I never thought it were possible in this short time. Finding Study Tech* has been incredible, extraordinary (and every other word of such kind) and a win to me. My ability to study has been improved, doubled, tripled and probably even more.

I found an extraordinary group. I’m referring to students, teachers and any other person that is working and helping to keep this school in this state of beauty. People here are very happy and that is, as I discovered, very VERY important! Maybe is one of the most important things of all, to be happy. And here, there are happy teachers, happy students, just a happy group. This helped me to get through this year and enjoy all my time here.

Thanks to everyone!
